What are Village Ordinances?
Ordinances are laws adopted by the Village and generally govern matters not already covered by state or federal laws. Ordinances usually deal with maintaining public health and safety, zoning, behavior and general welfare. Examples of ordinances would be those related to blight, signage, outdoor burning, animal restrictions, and building and zoning regulations, to name a few. Village Ordinances (PDF)
