Village Council
The Village of Benzonia Council is the legislative and governing body of the Village. The council determines policy for the Village including establishing ordinances and goals and objectives designed to meet the needs of Village residents.
The Council meets the first Monday of every month at 6:00 pm unless holiday, then 2nd Monday. Meetings held in the Village Office. |
The Village of Benzonia was founded in 1858, incorporated in 1891 and is a General Law Village operating under the elected seven member council. The Village operates under state and federal laws, the City Charter, local ordinances, and various adopted policies.

The Village of Benzonia was founded in 1858, incorporated in 1891, and is a General Law Village operating under the elected seven member council, the village Superintendent, an appointed clerk and an appointed Treasurer.
