Helpful information about winterizing your pipes
and the winter parking ordinance for the Village.
Every winter, many homeowners face the expense and inconvenience of frozen water pipes. You can cross that off you list of winter worries by taking a few simple precautions. When temperatures stay below freezing:
Give pipes a helping hand: If pipes run through cabinets or vanities, open the doors to let warmer room temperatures flow in.
Keep Water working: Keep water moving through the pipes by allowing a small trickle (stream) of water to run from a faucet to prevent freezing.
When pipes freeze, you will have blocked or restricted water flow, which is usually the first indication of a problem. During an extended cold spell, pipes may freeze despite precautions taken.
We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic individuals to serve on our Planning commission and committees. These individuals should have the ability to make decisions, work as a part of a team, and want to be able to guide the future growth and development of our Village. The Planning Commission provides guidance to the Village Council on planning matters such as ordinances, zoning matters, and special development projects. Many of the commitments only require a few hours of service a month, but as always, it is what you want to put in!
IMMEDIATELY, the planning commission is seeking to form subcommittees to help guide and provide input to help complete action items identified in the master plan as well as support the Redevelopment Ready Communities (RRC) Certification Process.
