The Planning Commission regular meeting will immediately follow the Public Hearing. A complete copy of the master plan and full text of the proposed zoning amendments may be viewed at the Village Office, 1276 Michigan Avenue. Call office or email the Zoning Administrator (ZA) to make arrangements. Written comments may be submitted, PO Box 223, Benzonia, MI 49616 OR be sent via email to the ZA at [email protected] by 12 PM on December 19th to be read into the meeting. Public comment rules apply and comments will be limited to 3 minutes per person. For more information contact the ZA prior to the meeting. |
Knotweed that has been found in various locations around the Village.
An excellent information resource is Japanese Knotweed (PDF). This is put out by the Michigan Department of National Resources with great information on this invasive species and best control practices. Knotweed It is not supposed to be cut, as this makes it spread even more and the root system can get so large that it will cause havoc on foundations and the most importantly the water mains. |
